Setting Up Single Sign-On with OneLogin 🔐
📣 Because this process is a bit technical, we highly recommend getting your IT team to help you with the setup.
Ready to make logging into Haystack a breeze for your team? By using OneLogin SSO, your users will never have to remember an extra password. Plus, you get a central control panel to manage their access to Haystack. It's a win-win!
Step 1: Create a SAML Application in OneLogin
First, you'll need to create a new SAML application within your OneLogin account.
- Start by customizing the app with a name (like "Haystack") and your company logo.
Step 2: Configure Your SAML Application
Now, you'll need to fill in some specific details to connect OneLogin with Haystack.
-
You'll need to replace "staging" in the URLs below with your unique Haystack subdomain.
- Next, you'll configure the SSO options. You'll need to enter all the necessary details, including the Audience URL, ACS URL, and other SAML settings.
Step 3: Copy the Issuer URL (for IDP metadata)
This is the key that links everything together!
-
On the SSO tab of your SAML app, copy the Issuer URL. Keep this URL on your clipboard; you'll need it in the next step.
📌 Good to know: If you don't have an Admin in Haystack yet, our team can do this step for you! Just pass us the Issuer URL, and we'll take care of it.
Step 4: Complete the SSO Setup in Haystack
You're in the home stretch!
-
Head to your Haystack Admin Console and select User Provision and Login.
-
Paste the Issuer URL you just copied from the OneLogin SAML app into the IDP metadata URL field.
-
Once saved, you can check the users and groups assigned to the app to ensure everything is connected properly.
And that's it! Your single sign-on with OneLogin is now configured. Your team can simply click the "Continue with OneLogin" button to log in.
You're all set! Go enjoy that centralized control.
