Here are some cool things to keep in mind about embedding videos from YouTube:

Permissions Are Respected: Haystack is smart! It respects the original permissions you've set for the video on YouTube. If a teammate can't access the video on YouTube, they won't be able to view the embed in your workspace.
Updates Happen Automatically: This is a huge time-saver! If any changes are made to the video on YouTube (like a title change or a new thumbnail), the embed in Haystack updates automatically in near-real time. No need to edit the Haystack embed at all!

How to Embed a YouTube Video

Ready to add a video? Just follow these simple, step-by-step instructions.

First, start in YouTube.

Navigate to the video that you'd like to embed in your workspace content.
Click the Share button just beneath the video player.
Then click the Copy button to get the video link.
Keep this link copied on your clipboard.

Then, return to Haystack to create your content.

When creating a post, page, or event, click onto a new line in the content body.
Type the forward slash key / on your keyboard to open the content editor.
Scroll down two-thirds of the way down the menu and click on Video
Paste the YouTube link from your clipboard into the Add URL or Embed Code text box.
Click Save. You'll see your YouTube video embed in-line in your content.
Continue composing your content and publish! Once published, embed viewers will be able to complete and submit the form right from Haystack.
