Embedding Forms from Jotform 📋

📌Who can embed? Content creation permissions in your workspace are granted by your admins, which means that in some instances, not all users have the ability to create and edit content. If you're unsure about your permissions, reach out to your platform admins or our team at support@haystackteam.com.

A Few Fun Facts About Jotform Embeds

Here are some cool things to keep in mind about embedding forms from Jotform:

  • Permissions are Respected: Haystack is smart! The embeds respect the permissions you've set in Jotform. If a teammate doesn't have access to the original form, they won't be able to view the embed in Haystack. Instead, they'll see a little "permission denied" screen.

  • Edits and Updates Happen Automatically: This is a huge time-saver! When you make any changes to a form in Jotform, the embed in Haystack updates automatically in near-real time. That means no extra work for you—it's super simple!

Embedding Jotform

Ready to add a form? Just follow these simple, step-by-step instructions.

First, in Jotform:

  1. Navigate to the form that you'd like to embed in your content.

  2. Click Publish in the header.

  3. In the share menu that appears, click "Copy Link" to copy the form's URL.

  4. Keep this link copied on your clipboard- you'll need it soon!

Then, return to Haystack to create your content. 

  1. When creating a post, page, or event, click onto a new line in the content body. 
  2. Type the forward slash key / on your keyboard to open the content editor.
  3. Scroll down two-thirds of the way down the menu and click on Jotform
  4. Paste the Jotform send link from your clipboard into the Add URL or Embed Code text box. 
  5. Click Save. You'll see your Jotform embed in-line in your content. 
  6. Click and drag the black resize bar at the bottom of the embed to vertically resize your embed. 
  7. Continue composing your content and publish! Once published, embed viewers will be able to complete and submit the form right from Haystack.
