Sprint #25 4.4

This release delivers major enhancements to administrative control over user profiles and streamlines HR data synchronization. We're excited to provide these tools to help maintain clean, accurate, and customized user directories!

Here are the key improvements you'll notice:

Administrative Control & Profiles

  • Profile Field Management Tool: Administrators now have significant control over how user profiles appear:

    • Rename Fields: Customize the label of most profile fields to match your organization's terminology.

    • Hide Fields: You can choose to hide profile fields that are not relevant to your users. (Note: Hiding core fields like name or job title requires specific backend work and is currently limited, though hiding email is possible with additional configuration.)

    • Lock Fields: Fields marked as "locked" cannot be edited by any user or administrator on the platform. The data for these fields must be updated exclusively via a bulk CSV import or through your configured HR integration (SCIM/Merge), ensuring data accuracy is maintained by your system of record.

    • New Custom Fields: Admins can now add up to three new custom profile fields that behave exactly like the existing Skills, Hobbies, and Work History fields, expanding profile customization.

  • Department Field Mapping: We've added the much-anticipated capability to map the Department field through our HR integration service (Merge), allowing for seamless and accurate synchronization of department data with user profiles.

Integration & Provisioning Logic

  • Advanced Provisioning Logic: We implemented a sophisticated new provisioning logic to handle complex HR scenarios where employees are marked as "active" in their HR system (Workday) prior to their actual start date. The platform can now successfully receive and process this early data, then automatically activate the user on their future start date. This ensures that user access is precise and timely.
