Creating Your Poll

You have two options for where your poll can live. Both allow for a question, description, and up to six voting options.

1. Creating an In-Line Poll (Embed in Content)

This is perfect for gathering feedback specific to a published Post, Page, or Event.

  1. When creating your content, type / to open the menu and select Poll (it's usually at the bottom).

  2. Add your poll question, a description, and your voting options (up to six).

  3. Click Create Poll to embed it in your content.

  4. Continue building your content as usual and publish it! Now for the voting to begin!

2. Creating a Dashboard Card Poll

This is great for high-visibility questions or general organizational feedback.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of your workspace or group dashboard and click the Add Card button.

  2. Select Poll from the card library.

  3. The empty poll card is added. Click the three-dotted button in the top right corner and select Setup.

  4. Add your poll question, description, and voting options.

  5. Click Create Poll—it is now live!

Closing a Poll and Viewing Detailed Results

Closing a Poll

When you are ready to stop accepting responses, you can easily close the poll.

  1. Click on the three-dotted button in the top right corner of the card or content area.

  2. Click on Close Poll.

  3. A modal with a summary will pop up; click Close Poll again to finalize.

Once closed, users cannot change their vote, and all viewers will only see the results by percentage.

Viewing Detailed Results (Who Voted for What)

If you have the proper permissions (as listed in the table above), you can see the individual user votes.

  1. On the dashboard poll or in-line poll, click the # Responded link located at the bottom left corner of the poll.

  2. A detailed list of voters and their cast votes will open. You can also close the poll from this space if needed.

And that's the inside track on creating and managing polls! Go ahead—ask the big questions, gather the data, and make your dashboard the most engaging spot in the office. Happy Polling!
