All About Your Notifications 🔔

Tired of getting too many emails, or maybe not enough? Haystack makes it easy to take control and get the important updates you need, exactly when and where you want them. Let's make your notifications work for you!

📌A quick note: Your Haystack admins have the ability to send urgent and important broadcast messages that will go out instantly, no matter what your personal settings are. This ensures you never miss critical company-wide news.

Managing Haystack Notifications

 

1. Access Notification Preferences 0:34

  • Go to your account menu at the top right of your screen.

  • Select Preferences from the dropdown menu.

  • Click on Notifications in the left-hand menu.

2. Choose Notification Frequency 0:47

  • Select your preferred notification frequency:

    • Instant Notifications for real-time updates.

    • Daily Notifications for a digest-style email every day at 6 PM EST.

    • Weekly Notifications for a summary every Friday afternoon.

  • You can also choose to turn notifications off.

3. Customize Personal Notifications 1:16

  • Scroll down to find options for notifications related to coworkers' birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

  • Customize these notifications according to your preferences.

4. Customize Group Notifications 1:38

  • Navigate back to the homepage.

  • Scroll to the bottom left-hand side and select the group you want to customize notifications for.

  • Click the drop-down arrow on the right-hand side and select Notifications.

5. Set Group Notification Preferences 2:17

  • Choose the type of notifications for the group:

    • Instant, Daily, Weekly, or turn them off.

  • Don't forget to hit Save after making changes.

6. Finalize and Review Settings 2:36

  • Review your notification settings to ensure they align with your preferences.

  • You are now in control of your notifications!
