Post templates make it easy to create, save, and use the same post formatting and structure time and time again. Templates are especially useful for post series you publish regularly—internal newsletters, new hire announcements, employee rewards, HR bulletins, press coverage digests, and more.

Creating a New Template

To create a new template, we'll set up your template like a normal post and then save it as a template for future use.

1. Click the Create button in the page header, next to your account dropdown.

2. Click Create Post in the create modal.

3. Select the audience for your post. Don't worry too much about your audience here, you'll be able to select the appropriate audience any time you use the template in the future. Click Continue.

4. Create your template. You're welcome to use all of the post fields, including title, subtitle, body, images, embeds, text formatting, and more.

5. When you're ready to save your template, click the ellipsis button and the bottom of the post window and select Save as Template.

6. Give your template a unique name so it's easy to identify in the future and click Save.

Using an Existing Template

To create a post using a template, we'll create a new post like normal and then apply the template to our post composition page.

1. Click the Create button in the page header, next to your account dropdown.

2. Click Create Post in the create modal.

3. Select the audience for your post. Click Continue.

4. Once on the blank post composition page, scroll to the bottom of the window and click the ellipsis button. Select Apply Template.

5. Select the template that you'd like to use for your post. You can use the ellipsis button to preview the template to ensure you're selecting the correct one.

6. Once selected, your post will populate with the selected template. Make edits, add details, and adjust content as needed to complete your post.

7. When you're ready, publish!
