Haystack is designed to reflect your company’s brand, unique culture, and design aesthetic. Your workspace settings make it easy to customize your workspace with your company's brand, colors, terminology, and approved assets.

Branding your workspace

  1. Click the account dropdown arrow in the top right corner of your screen and select Workspace Settings.

  2. In the menu on the left, select Manage Workspace.

  3. Configure the settings on this page to reflect your team's brand. When set, your bran and aliases will be used throughout the platform's headers, menus, etc. For example, you could elect to use Haystackers instead of People.

  4. Don't forget to click Save at the bottom of the page.

Haystack asset template

The Figma link below outlines how and where your custom branding will be displayed. It also includes aspect ratio details so you can correctly size your Haystack branding resources: Haystack Asset Templates.

In addition to these sizes, there are two other image spaces you may want to consider:

  • User Profile Photos and Group Profile Photos: Any square or round image should work here, we'd suggest using 440x440px.

  • Static Image Dashboard Card: If you're adding static images to your dashboard card, you'll want to use images with the following sizes:

    • Large is 1128x480 pixels

    • Medium is 744x 480 pixels

    • Small is 360x480 pixels

Asset File Types

For your logo assets (workspace logo, email logo, Slack logo), we'd strongly suggest using an .svg image file to ensure your branding looks great across all browsers and mobile!

Announcement assets & profile cover assets.

At the bottom of your Manage Workspace page, you'll see space to upload announcement and profile cover assets. Once uploaded these assets will be readily available to your post authors when creating content and employees when editing their profiles. These options will ensure your entire workspace is beautiful and branded.

We strongly suggest creating and uploading ~10 image assets for your team members to choose from.
